St. Vincent de Paul Conference
The St Vincent De Paul Society, as it is known, is committed to actively and passionately speaking out against the causes of poverty and inequality on behalf of the people we serve.
Our Motto is 'A Hand Up, Not A Hand Out'
Here in the St Joseph's and St Anthony's Parish, the area we cover are the suburbs of Bracken Ridge and Bald Hills. Each Tuesday and Thursday, between the hours of 10.00 am and 11.00 am, we are at the rear hall of the Bracken Ridge Library to assist people with food vouchers and clothing vouchers, after they have registered for assistance by ringing the St Vincent De Paul (SVDP) Helpline on 30101096 giving all their details.
New members are always required, and need only to devote themselves to perhaps one hour each fortnight, or less, and attend a meeting in the Church Hall once a month on the first Sunday of each month. Please see the parish newsletter for details.
